Jordan Petitt, LMFT
I love working with people who are curious about themselves and ready to create meaningful change in their lives. Having grown up in Los Angeles, I feel especially honored to work with my community.
I have also lived in Washington, DC where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at George Washington University. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a writer, a marketing professional, and a yoga teacher. The common denominator of these careers — a desire to support, understand, and connect deeply with others — is what led me to pursue psychology.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University LA, which focused on the impact of cultural constructs in our lives with an emphasis on social justice-informed, anti-racist, and LGBTQ-affirmative therapy.
While I work with a wide range of themes, I am especially drawn to working with individuals with relationship concerns or difficulties; individuals negotiating their relationship to depression and anxiety; individuals exploring sexuality and gender; creatives dealing with issues like rejection, isolation, and work-life balance; and couples navigating topics such as sexual preferences, different cultural backgrounds, meaning-making, and balancing the togetherness-separateness continuum.
